Frequently Asked Questions

Q: In What Quantity is Fabric Sold?

A: Fabric and trim are sold by the yard, so a quantity of "1" would mean one yard.

Q: Can I Buy Less Than 1 Yard of Fabric?

A:  At this time we do not sell fabrics in increments smaller than 1 yard. Instead, we try to keep our prices on yardage affordable for you.

Q: The Fabric I Love Is Out Of Stock, Will You Be Getting It Back In Soon?

A:  Our fabrics tend to sell out fast. In general our fabrics are not reorder-able.

Q: I Don't Feel Comfortable Ordering Online--Is There Some Other Way I Can Pay?

A: Absolutely--you can pay by personal check or by USPS money order in US dollars. If you have problems checking out, please contact us for help.

Q: Can I Use Coupon Codes With Other Coupon Codes or On Sale Items?

A: Our cart only accepts one coupon code per order. However, you can use coupon codes on sale items that have already been discounted in the store.

Q: Will You Combine Shipping on Multiple Purchases?

A: Since shipping is always free for your fabric/trim purchases if you live in the US, this only applies to international customers. Yes, we'll combine shipping if you let us know before we actually ship your package! See our help section below for more info on estimating your international shipping

Q: Will You Hold My Fabric For Me?

A: If requested, we can hold fabric to accommodate life events (moves, trips, illness, etc.) once it has been paid for and packaged.

We ship worldwide. If you purchase fabric from us, we will find a way to ship it to you! International shipping is calculated at checkout. We ship internationally using the United States Postal Service Global Priority Mail, and charge actual shipping. Shipping has gotten so expensive these days that it is important to us that you spend as little on shipping as possible. If your actual shipping charges once the package has shipped are less than what our cart charges you, we will refund the difference to you.

If you would like to get an idea of your shipping charges before you check out, you can use the international shipping calculator at www.USPS.com. Enter the United States as the country of origin, your country as the destination, and the weight of the package. For the purpose of estimating the weight of your fabric, most fabric weighs about 1 pound per yard, although quilting wovens and poplins only weigh about 1/2 pound per yard, and heavier fabrics like fleeces and corduroys will weigh a little more than 1 pound per yard. Here is a rough guideline for international flat rate shipping:

  • 2 yards knit fabric will fit in an International Flat Rate ENVELOPE
  •  3-7 yards knit fabric will fit in an International Medium Flat Rate Box
  •  Up to 10-11 yards knit fabric will fit in an International Large Flat Rate Box

Please note that we will not check the "gift" box on the customs form or underestimate the value of package contents to help you avoid customs fees. However, we can send your order to you in multiple packages if you prefer. Should a package be delayed in transit once we have conveyed it to the carrier, we will do our best to help track it, but we cannot be held responsible for missing international packages. We highly recommend that you purchase insurance for your shipment; again see the calculator at www.usps.com  for rates
